Each year, The Absher Charitable Foundation awards scholarships to seniors at Carmi-White County High School and Norris City Omaha Enfield High School.
Students are evaluated on their character, academic achievement, goals for the future, extracurricular involvement, work history, and character. Because Jane and Henry Absher came from humble roots, Jane and Ron desired to assist others from White County with humble roots to launch successful careers through education, so financial need is also a consideration in the selection process.
Scholarships applications are currently being accepted from high school seniors who anticipate graduating from Carmi-White County High School and Norris City Omaha Enfield High School. All applications are to be submitted by March 15.
